The Bear Did Lady is the stage name of Kenny Campbell. (Officially Kenneth, but just don’t.)
He has owned the domain kennycampbell.com since last century, and any emails sent to addresses there get to him. He also owns the domain thebeardidlady.com, which is where this web site lives.
Being an professional IT geek, he make full use of the fact that owning domains allows you to have many different email addresses. With his main domain, kennycampbell.com, he normally uses a distinct address for each company he interacts with. If he signs up to a new online store and they ask for his email address, he will give it as @kennycampbell.com. Then if he later gets spam, he knows who to blame.
This does create a bit of a challenge when claiming his artist profile on streaming services. They assume that each person has but one email address. To get around that, this page lists out all the email addresses used for promoting The Bear Did Lady and distributing music by the artist.

Music distribution
So far, I have only released one track. There is another one in the pipeline, but it’s an instrumental version of the first one (for karaoke purposes). There are lots more to come, though, as soon as I can get them out of my head and into the real world. I’ve done it once, I know I can do it again, and I have several that are currently progressing through that process.
I used SoundCloud to master and distribute my first track. I might continue with it for now. I hit a few snags in the distribution process, but it’s not obvious whether those were problems with SoundCloud or the kind of standard problems that always happen to new artists the first time they try to release a song. Unfortunately, some of the music platforms don’t allow you to select SoundCloud as the distributor, so I’m in a bit of a bind when it comes to claiming my artist page on those platforms. Hopefully it will resolve itself in time if I keep banging away at it.
